What about patriotism, duty and honor?	애국심, 의무, 그리고 명예는 어떻게 되는가?

A patriot is defined as one who loves his country and supports its interests and authority and will fight for it if necessary (Cambridge International Dictionary , Merriam Webster, ect.). Patriotism and nationalism are one and the same. We despise nationalism but embrace patriotism. Why is this? Nationalism is always "the other nation" but is never our nation. Nationalism is the advancement of your national interests at the expense of other nations, and their national interests. Patriotism is supposed to be the striving to advance your national interest while not sacrificing the interests of other nations. In theory, there exists a difference between the patriot and the nationalist, but in practice they are one and the same. When you claim to be a patriot you are in fact a nationalist. You are declaring that you will advance the causes, ideas, and ideals of you country because they are morally superior to another country and are willing to go to war, if that proves to be necessary. Consider also, that every other country also feels they hold the moral high ground and are just as patriotic as you are. This is why there will never be an end to our wars. As long as there exists a single border or property line there will exist patriotism and nationalism and there will be war.	애국자는 자신의 나라를 사랑하고 나라의 관심들과 권력을 지지하고 필요하다면 싸우는 사람으로 정의 됩니다. Should we love our country? How can you love a country? We are commanded to "love one another" but nowhere are we commanded to love an "it", a "thing" a "concept" or a "principle." Whenever we love a thing, our relationship with people diminishes. When we love our property we despise those who may deface it accidentally or intentionally. When we love our country, we despise those who infringe upon it.	우리는 우리 나라를 사랑해야만 합니까? 우리가 어떻게 한 나라를 사랑할 수 있습니까? 우리는 서로 사랑하라고 명령 받지만, 아무데서도 "그것", 하나의 "물건" 하나의 "개념" 또는 한가지 "원리"를 사랑하라고 명령 받지 않습니다. 우리가 물건을 사랑할 때면 언제나 사람들과 우리의 관계는 약화됩니다. 우리가 우리의 재물을 사랑할 때 우연히 또는 의도적으로 그것에 손상을 가하는 사람들을 경멸합니다. 우리가 우리의 나라를 사랑한다면, 그곳을 침범하는 사람을 경멸합니다.
Patriotism is a direct perversion and contradiction of Matthew 5:43-44, Jesus says "love your neighbor and love your enemies...patriotism says "love you neighbor and hate your enemies! Jesus very clearly repudiated that concept of nationalism and patriotism through His teaching to love even our enemies! Nowhere, does He instruct us to love an object, even if the object is our country. Never are we to value the material over the needs of humankind. To do likewise is to increase suffering in this world and who among us wishes to account for that upon the day of judgment?	애국심은 마태복음 5장 43-44절에 대한 직접적인 왜곡이며 반대입니다. 예수는 말합니다, "너희 이웃을 사랑하라 그리고 너희 원수를 사랑하라"...애국심은 말합니다, "너희 이웃을 사랑하라 *그리고* 너희 원수를 증오하라!" 예수는 심지어 우리의 원수를 사랑하라!는 자신의 가르침을 통하여 그와 같은 국가주의와 애국주의의 개념을 너무나 명백히 거부하였습니다. 그 어느 곳에서도 예수가 우리에게 물체를 사랑하라고 가르치지 않습니다. 결코 우리는 인류의 필요를 넘어선 물질에 가치를 둘 수 없습니다. 이처럼 행함은 이 세상에 고통을 늘리는 것입니다 그리고 누가 우리들 중에서 심판의 날에 이에 대해 책임지기를 소원하겠습니까?
Duty is a word that has been enlisted to serve the needs of the State when it comes to war. When your country needs you to fight and die they begin to use the word duty as if it came straight from God Himself. It is used as the final authority and linked with the name of God : "God and Duty."	의무는 전쟁이 일어났을 때 국가의 필요에 봉사하도록 요청하는 단어입니다. 당신의 국가가 당신이 싸우다 죽는 것을 필요로 할 때 그들은 마치 그것이 마치 하나님 자신으로부터 직접 나온 것처럼 의무라는 단어를 사용하기 시작합니다. 이 단어는 마지막 권능으로 사용되며 하나님의 이름과 연결되어 집니다: "하나님 그리고 의무."
Duty is defined as "something you do because you think it is the right thing to do," (Cambridge International Dictionary). The emphasis is on "because you* think*...", but in in terms of the State it is not up to you. Your "duty" is to perform what the "State" thinks is right. True duty may mean, and often should, that you disobey the State! As a pacifist, our duty is to serve God as we understand Him, and that is to protest all war and institutionalized violence. To resist the urge to violence within ourselves, in every instance, and to live at peace with all, when it is within our power to do so as it is clearly expressed in Luke 6:27 "love your enemies, and do good to them which hate you." This is our "duty," that which we believe to be right.	의무는," 당신이 행함에 있어서 옳은 것이라고 생각하기 때문에 행하는 어떤 것" (케임브리지 국제 사전) 으로 정의됩니다. Honor, is "a quality that combines respect , pride, honesty, and truthfulness," (Cambridge International Dictionary). The State would have us to believe that "honor" is something that is bestowed by the State upon those who are faithful in carrying out its commands. Honor is a quality... not something that is "earned" or bestowed. Honor means that you are doing the right thing in spite of the consequences. Sometimes, in fact often, honor is required by not doing what is socially required. Submitting to the military conscription of the State may be considered a "social obligation" but it certainly does not establish it as an "honorable" act. Honor is how you view yourself, not how others view or assess you. One may say "he is honorable" but that does not make it so. No one knows our motives except God, and it is our motives that define our acts. Therefore, honor is that quality that is never exposed to anyone but God Himself.
