I am already past the age for the requirements for the draft, is any action necessary?	나는 이미 징병 요건에 해당하는 나이가 지났다, 어떤 행동이 필요한가?

In the US the age of 26 is the age that theoretically places you outside the draft. But, do not make the assumption that this makes you safe from conscription.. If you have a skill that is in demand by the military you can be drafted at any age. In addition, if in the course of war it becomes necessary to field more soldiers than the supply at hand, they will begin to lift the age barriers. In other words the age barrier is an artificial limit that exists only under ideal conditions! History has taught us that any army, when placed in the position of defeat, will resort to extreme measures. These measures include forcing the very young and the very old into battle.	미국에서는 26세가 되면 이론적으로 징병의 바깥에 놓여지는 나이입니다. 그러나, 이렇다고 해서 당신이 징집으로부터 안전하다는 추측은 하지 마십시오. 만일 당신이 군대가 요구하는 기술을 가지고 있다면, 당신은 어떤 나이라도 징집될 수 있습니다. 게다가, 만일 전쟁 도중에 공급되는 인원보다 많을 병사들을 배치함이 필요하게 되면, 연령제한을 철폐할 것입니다. 다시 말하자면, 연령 제한은 오직 이상적인 상황들에서 존재하는 인위적인 한계입니다! 역사가 우리에게 가르쳐 주기를, 어떤 군대라도 패배의 위치에 서면, 극단적인 대책들에 호소할 것입니다. 이런 대책들은 매우 어린 사람들과 매우 늙은 사람들을 전투로 내몰 것입니다.
Christian pacifism is for every believer in Christ, as a lifestyle and not as an excuse to avoid the draft. If one is considered over the age to be considered by their local draft board they still are bound by their relationship to Christ to be a pacifist and a practitioner of non violence.	그리스도의 평화주의는, 징병을 회피하기 위한 변명으로서가 아니라, 삶의 방식으로서 그리스도를 믿는 모든 사람들을 위한 것입니다. 만일 어떤 사람이 그들 지역의 징병 위원회에 의하여 연령을 초과했다고 여겨진다 하더라도 그들은 여전히 그리스도에 대한 관계로 인하여 평화주의자 그리고 비폭력의 실천자로 제한 받을 것입니다.
In a world that is saturated with violence, an individual should know that when they befriend a Christian they have entered into a relationship in which there will be no fear. To be around a Christian should be like living in an environment in which you have nothing to fear. But, often the Christian is to be feared as well as anyone else, because the Christian often has the same view of an "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" just the same as anyone else.	폭력으로 물들어 있는 세상에서, 한 사람의 개인이 그리스도와 친구될 때 그들은 두려움이 없는 관계에 들어섰음을 알아야 합니다. 그리스도인과 친하다는 것은 아무런 두려움이 없는 환경에 사는 것과 같습니다. 그러나, 가끔은 다른 사람들과 마찬가지로 그리스도인도 두려워해야 합니다, 왜냐하면 그리스도인도 가끔은 여러 다른 사람들과 똑같이 "눈에는 눈 그리고 이에는 이"와 똑같은 관점을 가지고 있기 때문입니다.
If you are over the age required by the draft board you may be excused by the State, but not by the demands of discipleship if you are to follow Christ. Though you are no longer required to wage war for the State, you are nonetheless required to to wage peace for Christ. This is because you are to be an example to those who are of draft age. They will look to you and see your courage to declare yourself a pacifist and to suffer they same hardship they will suffer.	만일 당신이 징병 위원회가 요구한 나이를 넘었다면 당신은 아마도 국가에 의해서 면제 받겠지만, 당신이 그리스도를 따라야 한다면 제자 됨의 요건들에 의해서는 아닙니다. 비록 당신이 국가를 위하여 전쟁에 참가함이 더 이상 요구되지는 않지만, 그럼에도 불구하고 그리스도를 위하여 평화를 행할 것이 요구됩니다. 이것은 바로 당신이 징집 연령인 사람들의 모범이 되어야 하기 때문입니다. 그들은 당신을 쳐다볼 것이며, 스스로를 평화주의자라고 선언하며 그들이 겪는 것과 똑같은 고통을 겪는 당신의 용기를 볼 것입니다.
